Ash Click is a multimedia artist and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. They graduated from Smith College in 2017 with a Studio Art major and additional coursework in education, art history, and disability studies. Their work as an educator has brought them to K-6 classrooms, pre-college summer programs, day habilitation facilities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the NJ GSA Forum, and arts institutions such as the Asheville Art Museum and Lincoln Center. They are passionate about using art-making and art history as tools to facilitate honest and accessible conversations around gender, mental health, and other social issues.
Ash has a strong presence in the NYC performance art scene, where they combine practices of dramatic movement, spoken word poetry, drag lipsync traditions, makeup art and costume design to create thoughtful and theatrical stage performances. They have performed as their drag alter ego, Ash Blight, at major events and venues across the city including the Bushwig festival at Knockdown Center, New York Public Library's The Library After Hours: Pride, Coney Island USA, and the historic Stonewall Inn. They are the curator and co-producer of Two Sharks, a semi-monthly charity cabaret show at WOW Café Theater.
